Mt. Nikko-Shirane
Mt. Nikko-Shirane (2,578m) is Japan's highest mountain in the north of the Kanto region. The mountain summit proudly offers a landscape of beautiful lakes such as Goshikinuma, Midaga-ike Lake, Suganuma, Marunuma, and the surrounding mountains. Taking a ropeway all the way to ‘Mt. Nikko-Shirane Rock Garden’ at the 2,000-meter-high point will let you immerse yourself in a lot of beautiful nature with alpine plants including Glaucidium palmatum, known as the queen of wild grasses and flowers. Another popular spot is ‘Tenku no Ashiyu’ (foot bath in the sky). It gives you a Panoramic view!
