A woman named ‘Ito Nagai’ is an indispensable part of the silkworm-raising industry of Gunma. She further developed the silkworm-raising technology of her husband Konshuro Nagai, and established a new method known as the ‘Nagai-style’, which has been handed down to about 1,500 people over time.
