Ozegahara
About 2km north to south and 6km west to east, Ozegahara is the largest highland marsh on the mainland of Japan. You can enjoy a variety of beautiful plateau plants on the wetland surrounded by Mt. Shibutsu and Mt. Hiuchigatake, such as skunk cabbages, a flower species that appears in the lyrics of the famous Japanese song, ‘Natsu no Omoide (Memories of summer)’, and daylilies, much loved for their vivid yellow color.
