Hot springs, called Onsen, have been a very important and popular feature of Japanese culture since the Edo period (15th century). It is an experience not to be missed during your visit to Japan!
Stop by Hokkori no yu to indulge yourself in the old Japanese tradition, to socialize with locals, to benefit from the several physical effects (for example to smoothen your skin & to relieve your back pain) and to enjoy the pure relaxation while soaking your body in the hot water. Many locals also go to this centrally located public bath house in Kamata. You will find Hokkorinoyu just across Kamata Bus station and Katashinaya.
Here you can cleanse your body and mind while gazing at Katashina’s panorama, for as long as you want. Any necessities such as towels, hairbrush and shaving kit can be purchased at the entrance desk. Additionally, Hokkori no yu offers a peaceful area where you can lie down for a nap or enjoy a refreshing drink & snack. On top of that you have the opportunity of buying some local products & souvenirs.
