In Higashiogawa approximately 4km of route 120, from Kamata to Marunuma, is also known as ‘Tomorokoshi Road’. ‘Tomorokoshi’ is corn in Japanese. This road is lined with stalls that sell locally grown fruits and vegetables – such as mushrooms, tomatoes, small melons, zucchini, radish…. Especially the freshly grilled corncobs covered in soy sauce are very delicious and popular here!

This stall has been in the family for 40 years!

I recommend a quick stop for some mouthwatering corn (around 300 yen).
